एयरटेल सैटेलाइट इंटरनेट जल्द ही आ रहा है, इसरो रॉकेट के रूप में अंतरिक्ष में वनवेब लॉन्च करेगा

UK-based global communication satellite company OneWeb, of which Bharti Airtel is the largest shareholder, has entered into an agreement with the Indian Space Research Organisation to launch its satellites aboard its heaviest launch vehicle GSLV-MK III, as well as PSLV

Reported first by ET, OneWeb is planning to build a constellation of 650 satellites in lower-earth orbit (LEO) which would offer internet connectivity through space, much like SpaceX’s Starlink. As of now, it has launched 322 such satellites and is looking to now use ISRO’s services to launch some more of its satellites to take its launching capabilities to the next level. 

This collaboration will result in OneWeb becoming the first private company to launch satellites using ISRO’s GSLV-MK III launch vehicle. The rocket can easily carry and launch up to ten tonnes into lower-earth orbit and four tonnes into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit. 

The announcement was made by Sunil Bharti Mittal at the launch of the Indian Space Association,  “I’m glad to share with all of you today that we’ve (OneWeb) entered into an arrangement to use the workhorse of Isro - the PSLV, and importantly the new rocket they’re bringing out, of a very large payload capacity, GSLV MK III, to launch OneWeb satellites from the Indian soil.”

यूके स्थित वैश्विक संचार उपग्रह कंपनी वनवेब, जिसमें भारती एयरटेल सबसे बड़ी शेयरधारक है, ने भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन के साथ अपने सबसे भारी प्रक्षेपण यान जीएसएलवी-एमके III, साथ ही पीएसएलवी पर अपने उपग्रहों को लॉन्च करने के लिए एक समझौता किया है।

ईटी द्वारा पहली बार रिपोर्ट की गई, वनवेब निचली-पृथ्वी की कक्षा (एलईओ) में 650 उपग्रहों का एक समूह बनाने की योजना बना रही है जो स्पेसएक्स के स्टारलिंक की तरह अंतरिक्ष के माध्यम से इंटरनेट कनेक्टिविटी प्रदान करेगी। अब तक, इसने 322 ऐसे उपग्रहों को लॉन्च किया है और अब अपनी लॉन्चिंग क्षमताओं को अगले स्तर तक ले जाने के लिए अपने कुछ और उपग्रहों को लॉन्च करने के लिए इसरो की सेवाओं का उपयोग करना चाहता है।

इस सहयोग के परिणामस्वरूप वनवेब इसरो के जीएसएलवी-एमके III प्रक्षेपण यान का उपयोग करके उपग्रहों को लॉन्च करने वाली पहली निजी कंपनी बन जाएगी। रॉकेट आसानी से दस टन तक निचली-पृथ्वी की कक्षा में और चार टन तक जियोसिंक्रोनस ट्रांसफर ऑर्बिट में ले जा सकता है और लॉन्च कर सकता है।

भारतीय अंतरिक्ष संघ के शुभारंभ पर सुनील भारती मित्तल द्वारा घोषणा की गई थी, "मुझे आज आप सभी के साथ साझा करते हुए खुशी हो रही है कि हमने (वनवेब) इसरो के वर्कहॉर्स - पीएसएलवी का उपयोग करने की व्यवस्था में प्रवेश किया है, और महत्वपूर्ण रूप से वे जो नया रॉकेट ला रहे हैं, एक बहुत बड़ी पेलोड क्षमता, जीएसएलवी एमके III, भारतीय धरती से वनवेब उपग्रहों को लॉन्च करने के लिए।"
